GARY'S GARAGE TIPSWhen you have milky brown engine oil it means.
Milky brown engine oil is an indication of coolant in the oil. This can be caused by a blown head gasket (other gasket), a failed transmission cooler, or cracked casings. This condition is very serious and needs to be checked by a professional technician quickly.

A car's transmission enables the engine to provide a wide range of output speeds. Without it, you'd be limited to just one gear. What the Transmission doesThe term transmission refers to the whole drive train, including gearbox, clutch, prop shaft (for rear-wheel drive), differential and final drive shafts. The distinction is made that a gearbox is any device which converts speed and torque, whereas a transmission is a type of gearbox that can be "shifted" to dynamically change the speed:torque ratio, such as in a vehicle. Cars need transmissions because of the physics of the gasoline engine. A maximum rpm value above which the engine cannot go without exploding and engines have narrow rpm ranges where horsepower and torque are at their maximum.
Transmission gears deliver power from the engine to the drive wheels, shifting automatically to provide the best power and efficiency for your driving speed. A special transmission fluid cools and lubricates the gears. Over time, this fluid degrades, and its lubricant qualities diminish. Changing the fluid at the correct intervals can help prevent premature wear and damage to the transmission.
The transmission is connected to the engine through the clutch. The input shaft of the transmission therefore turns at the same rpm as the engine.
